Sunday, February 18: Annual VCA Underground Ice Skating Outing.

Freedlyville Marble Quarry, Dorset, VT. Meet at 10:00 AM at the Rutland Hannaford's Parking Lot, US Rte. 7 South of the Fairgrounds, or 10:45 at the East Dorset General Store. One mile walk on packed snowmobile trail. Bring sleds/skis for quick ride back down. Three football fields of beautiful clean ice in a unique setting. Frozen ice formations, antique quarrying implements, gorgeous marble. Dress warmly - it's cold. Bring hot chocolate and/or hotdogs to cook over a campfire. Nice views of the Vermont (Metawee) Valley. Bring your camera.
